2017 BBC one drama series created by Jimmy McGovern and starring Sean Bean, Anna Friel and Adrian Dunbar.
Sean Bean played Father Michael Kerrigan, a Catholic priest based in Liverpool who, despite his own traumatic upbringing, helps and guides his parishioners through the trials and tribulations that every day life throws at them. Each episode featured a different parishioner with threads of each storyline running through future episodes. Anna Friel played vulnerable single mum Christina Fitzsimmons who resorts to keeping her mother's death a secret in order to continue claiming her state pension. Adrian Dunbar played fellow priest Father Peter Flaherty. Sean Bean won a Best Actor BAFTA for his performance.
Faye McKeever played Caroline Powell.
