2006-2008 production of Kander and Ebb's classic and much-loved musical. Set in Berlin in the 1930s where the infamous and decadent Kit Kat Club becomes a refuge from the reality of a city preparing for war. At the heart of the show is the legendary Sally Bowles, who wows audiences nightly at the club. When young American writer, Clifford Bradshaw arrives in Berlin he is introduced to the club where he falls in love with Sally and so begins their tumultuous relationship, set against the menace of Nazi Germany.
Directed by Rufus Norris and starred Anna Maxwell Martin as Sally Bowles, James Dreyfus as Emcee and Michael Hayden as Clifford Bradshaw. Sheila Hancock also starred as Fraulein Schneider. Replacements later in the run included Kim Medcalf and Amy Nuttall as Sally, Honor Blackman and Angela Richards as Fräulein Schneider, and Julian Clary and Alistair McGowan as the Emcee.
Gabriel Vick joined the cast in October 2007 playing 'Wolf' until the show finished in June 2008.
