Netflix police procedural drama series which debuted in 2025. The 9-part Edinburgh-set series follows Detective Carl Morck, played by Matthew Goode, who is set up in a new department to solve cold cases. His first case is to discover what happened to Merritt Linguard, played by Chloe Pirrie, a "ruthless and ambitious" prosecuting barrister who went missing from a ferry boat 4 years previously.
Merritt initially believes she is being punished for a case she worked on as a prosecutor, however it soon becomes apparent that she is being held by a family looking for revenge for something she did in her childhood.
The A-list Scottish cast also included Kelly McDonald and Mark Bonnar. The series was inspired by the novels of the same name by Danish writer Jussi Adler-Olsen and is written and directed by Scott Frank ('The Queen's Gambit')
