Channel 4 crime drama starring Sarah Lancashire as Miriam, a social worker working on the case of Kiri, a young black girl who is about to be adopted by her white foster family. However when Kiri is abducted and murdered a trail of lies, blame and guilt ensues. Also starred Claire Rushbrook who played Miriam's boss Julie. Pappa Essiedu played Kiri's violent father and Steven Mackintosh played Kiri's foster father.
