Britbox’s 2022 adaptation of Anthony Horowitz’s bestselling murder mystery novel. The 6-part series revolves around editor Susan Ryeland who is given a manuscript for a new crime novel, which is missing the final chapter. The plot thickens further when the author is found dead in suspicious circumstances. Lesley Manville starred as Susan Ryeland, alongside Daniel Mays, Pippa Haywood and Claire Rushbrook who played Katie Williams. Sutara Gayle also appeared as series regular Gemma Whiteley. The series was then shown on BBC One on Saturday evenings in April 2023.
