Debut play by playwright Natasha Gordon about a family who go through the traditional Jamaican 'Nine Night Wake'. The play sees the children and grandchildren of Gloria as they are tested with an endless parade of mourners sharing food, music and stories over the course of a week. The play initially ran at the National Theatre in April 2018, and then transferred to the West End's Trafalgar Studios at the end of 2018 and into 2019. Starred Michelle Greenidge as Trudy as well as Cecilia Noble and Roy Alexander Weise. The play received outstanding reviews and won two Evening Standard Awards as well as being nominated for two Olivier Awards. Michelle Greenidge was nominated in the Best West End Debut category at the Stage Awards 2018 for her role. She then went on to win the Best Supporting Female Actor at the inaugural Black British Theatre Awards in 2019.
