George Clooney produced and directed film, based on the book of the same name by Daniel James Brown. The story is set during the Great Depression era in the 1930s when the Washington University rowing team rose from being underdogs to winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Starred Callum Turner as the lead, Joe Rantz, who was abandoned by his family at an early age and left to fend for himself in the woods around Washington State.
