2024 co-production between The National Theatre and Northern Stage which is an irreverent re-telling of the lives and legend of English literature's most famous sisters - the Brontës.
Gemma Whelan starred as Charlotte Brontë, alongside Rhiannon Clements as Anne and Adele James as Emily.
The official synopsis reads, "Charlotte Brontë has a confession to make about how one sister became an idol, and the other became known as the third sister. You know the one. No, not that one. The other, other one… Anne. This is not a story about well-behaved women. This is a story about the power of words. It’s about sisters and sisterhood, love and jealousy, support and competition."
