Historical period movie set in the Outer Hebrides at the start of the First World War. Tells the story of Kirsty Macleod who dreams of a better life away from her isolated island life. However a terrible tragedy unfolds on the night of a dance held to say farewell to the men of the village before they leave for the battlefields of France, including her lover, Murdo.
Hermione Corfield starred as Kirsty with Morven Christie playing her mother Mairi.
