Channel 4's 2010 double-BAFTA winning TV series which was a spin-off of the 2006 film 'This is England', also written by Shane Meadows. Set in the mid 1980s, 3 years after the film, the 4-parter followed the same central characters, Shaun, Woody, Lol and Combo, as they navigate finishing their final school exams and carving out a future for themselves, set against the backdrop of the mod revival scene and the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
Thomas Turgoose, Joe Gilgun, Stephen Graham and Vicky McLure returned to their starring roles, alongside Johnny Harris who played Mick Jenkins.
Johnny Harris received BAFTA and Royal Television Society Award nominations for his performance with the final episode recently named ‘The Greatest TV Episode of All Time’ by The Independent Newspaper.
