Unsaid Stories - Credits

Four short films for ITV inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, exploring racism in all its forms.  The films starred top British talent including Adelayo Adedayo, Joe Cole, Paapa Essiedu, Amanda Abbington and Nicholas Pinnock. 

The four films were titled 'Look at Me', 'Lavender', 'Generational' and 'I Don't Want to Talk About This'. 

'Look At Me' focused upon the lives of young professional couple Nicola and Michael and the aftermath of them being stopped by the police while out driving on a date. 'Lavender' follows the story of a new mother with light skin who has a baby with darker skin, who is forced re-evaluate her relationship to her own white mother. 'Generational' explores the relationship between a black father and his daughter when he catches her sneaking out to a Black Lives Matter march and their different views on what it means to fight for social justice. 'I Don't Want to Talk About This' tells the story of Thea, a middle-class black woman (Adelayo Adedayo) and her working-class white former boyfriend Tom (Joe Cole), who bump into each other a few years later and end up reassessing their relationship, the challenges they faced and the impact of racism on their love.
