Samuel Barnett returns to Edinburgh for a special performance of his award-winning show ‘Feeling Afraid as If Something Terrible is Going to Happen’

Two-time Tony Award nominee Samuel Barnett is back at the Edinburgh Festival tonight, Friday 15th August, with a special, one-night-only performance of his acclaimed one-man show 'Feeling Afraid as if Something Terrible is Going to Happen'.

He will be performing at new Festival venue Shedinburgh.  Tickets are sold-out.

The dark comedy-drama is presented in the form of a stand-up gig and revolves around a permanently single, professionally neurotic stand-up comedian and his potential Mr Right, a part written specifically for him by playwright Marcelo Dos Santos.

He first performed the hit show at the Festival in 2022 where it won a coveted Edinburgh Award from The Stage and a prestigious Fringe First Award from The Scotsman.  Amongst his many 5 star reviews his performance was described as “mesmerising, flawless” (StageWire), “supremely talented” (The Skinny) and “the next Fleabag” (The Telegraph).

The play went on to win the Solo Performance in a Play Award at the 2024 Offies (Off West End Theatre Awards) following a sell-out run at London's Bush Theatre.
