Arty Froushan's new film 'The Persian Version' will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend

The Persian Version will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this Saturday, 21st January.  The film follows Iranian-American Leila who is striving to find a balance between her two opposing cultures. Things come to a head when her entire family gathers in New York for her father's heart transplant and mother and daughter find out they are more alike than they know.

Arty Froushan will play Majid in the light-hearted film which is punctuated by bright colours, comedy and vibrant dance numbers.  British-Iranian Arty is best known for starring in Carnival Row (new season out next month) and the award winning production of Tom Stoppard's 'Leopoldstadt' in the West End and most recently on Broadway.

The film has been described as a "compelling, intelligent, and timely story of both the Iranian, and the Iranian-American, experience".

Iranian-American writer, director, and producer Maryam Keshavarz won the Audience Award at Sundance in 2011 with 'Circumstance'. The Persian Version is her third feature film, which will premiere in the U.S. Dramatic Competition.

Arty Froushan is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents.  Click his image for his profile page and voiceover showreel.
