The Doctor Who Christmas special will be shown on BBC One on Christmas Day at 5.55pm.
The feature length episode will introduce us to the brand new cast for the first time, which includes Ncuti Gatwa as the 15th Doctor and Millie Gibson as his companion, Ruby Sunday. It will also be our first glimpse of Michelle Greenidge in character. She plays Ruby's mum Carla.
The episode is called 'The Church on Ruby Road' and although not much has been revealed yet about Ruby and Carla we do know that Ruby was abandoned on Christmas Eve as a baby and now lives with her mum, Carla and grandmother, Cherry. In a recent interview with the Radio Times Michelle describes their relationship as "very special...there isn't anything Carla wouldn't do for Ruby. Their love for each other is very strong". Read the interview in full.
The trailer for the episode was released over the weekend and features The Doctor, Ruby and a whole lot of goblins! Watch the trailer now.
The episode will guest star Davina McCall who will be playing herself.
We don't yet know the release date for the full series - but it will hit our screens sometime in Spring 2024.
