Israeli-British comedy film 'My Happy Ending' is released in cinemas in the US today, Thursday 23rd February. It is a poignant and funny female ensemble comedy about four women laughing in the face of adversity.
The film stars Andie McDowell as a famous actress who is trying to stay incognito when admitted to hospital for cancer treatment. However on the oncology ward she meets three remarkable women - an aging rocker, a young mother, and a forever single retired schoolteacher, played by Miriam Margoyles, Rakhee Thakrar and Sally Phillips. Together, they help her face adversity with humor and camaraderie. The film is based on the play Sof Tov by Israeli screenwriter and playwright Anat Gov.
Michelle Greenidge plays Nurse Emilia in the film, which currently has no UK release date.
