Sophie Thompson stars as Valerie in 'Time Travel is Dangerous' which is out in cinemas across the UK from tomorrow, Friday 28th March.
The madcap sci-fi comedy tells the story of Ruth and Megan, best friends and vintage shop owners who discover a time machine, disguised as a dodgem. They flit back and forth in time gathering momentos which they then sell in the shop. It is filmed in mockumentary format with Stephen Fry narrating.
Sophie's character Valerie is a former TV presenter and part of an inventors society who get wind of the scheme and are determined to shut it down before the time-space continuum gets out of sync...but Ruth and Megan don't listen.
The film also stars Jonny Vegas, Jane Horrocks and Laura Aikman who plays a young version of Sophie's character Valerie.
