RSC production of Shakespearian tragedy 'Antony and Cleopatra' which ran at The Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon in 2013 and was followed by a US tour to New York and Miami in 2014
The play follows the relationship between Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt and Mark Antony who becomes leader of the Roman Empire following the death of Julius Caesar. The main villain is Octavius Caesar. This production was set in 18th-century Saint-Domingue instead of the traditional Roman setting. Directed by Tarell Alvin McCraney.
Starred Jonathan Cake as Antony and Joaquina Kalukango as Cleopatra.
Sarah Niles played Cleopatra's maid of honour, Charmian.
