Emmy-nominated British actress Sarah Niles is known worldwide for her role as Dr. Sharon Fieldstone in the second and third seasons of multiple Emmy-winning comedy series ‘Ted Lasso’. Her performance as sports psychologist Sharon earned her two Emmy nominations; Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2022 and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023.

2025 sees her on the big screen in one of the summer's major blockbusters 'F1: The Movie' which starred Brad Pitt as a retired F1 legend who comes out of retirement to mentor rookie driver Joshua Pearce.  Sarah played Josh's mother Bernadette.  She also had a major role in Amazon Prime action comedy film ‘Heads of State’ as the chief advisor to the US President (played by John Cena), which also starred Idris Elba as the British Prime Minister.

She has some pivotal roles in a number of other upcoming 2025 releases, including Marvel blockbuster ‘The Fantastic Four’ which stars Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby and Netflix’s much anticipated film adaptation of Richard Osman’s bestseller ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ alongside an impressive cast that includes Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan David Tennant and Richard E. Grant.

She has had major roles in a number of high-profile comedy TV shows such as playing teacher Melissa, a close colleague of Sharon Horgan’s character, in all 4 seasons of Channel 4’s ‘Catastrophe’.  She also co-starred alongside Olivia Colman in the BBC comedy series ‘Beautiful People’ as well as the 2015 BAFTA winning single BBC drama 'Don't Take My Baby', in which she played social worker Belinda who has to decide whether a young disabled couple should keep their baby.

Other recent credits include starring as twins Ms Miriam and Ms Sophia in the 2024 Amazon Prime supernatural thriller series ‘Fallen’; Sky Original rom-com ‘This is Christmas’ (2022); Netflix’s ‘The Sandman’ (2022); Amazon Prime psychological thriller series ‘Riches’ (2022); and ITV police procedural crime thriller ‘Viewpoint’ (2021).  She also starred opposite Toby Jones in the biographical BBC film ‘Danny Boy’, which told the story of a medal-winning war veteran who was accused of war crimes in Iraq.

2020 saw her with a major role playing Officer Funmi in the BAFTA and Emmy-winning HBO/BBC drama series ‘I May Destroy You’, created, directed by and starring Michaela Coel as a young writer who seeks to rebuild her life after being raped.  In the same year she played Meg in the BBC/Netflix adaptation of ‘Dracula’, from ‘Sherlock’ creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat.  Prior to that, in 2019, she played Ms. Booker in the BAFTA and BIFA winning film ‘Rocks’ which also won a number of awards on the Independent Film circuit.

Further notable credits include the second series of BBC medical drama ‘Trust Me’, Apple TV+ comedy series ‘Trying’, BBC dramas ‘Death in Paradise’ and ‘Waterloo Road’, Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA-nominated, RTS-winning daytime drama series ‘Moving On’ and Mike Leigh’s Oscar and Golden Globe nominated film ‘Happy-Go-Lucky’ which also starred Sally Hawkins and Eddie Marsan.

She has a great love for theatre, with highlights that include playing Charmian in the RSC’s 2013 production of ‘Antony and Cleopatra’, at The Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon as well as the subsequent US tour in 2014. Later that year she played Tituba in the sold-out 5-star production of The Crucible at the Old Vic, which was streamed to cinemas throughout the UK and internationally. More recently, in 2019, she played Bolingbroke in Adjoa Andoh’s “passionate and courageous” all-female production of ‘Richard II’ at Shakespeare’s Globe, and in 2020 she starred as Lolo in the National Theatre’s production of Chekov’s ‘Three Sisters’.

She is particularly experienced in animation and is the voice of Nanny Pip in ‘Rugrats’ and the voice of ‘X’ in the Emmy-winning ‘The Loud House’ (both the TV series and film), both produced by Nickelodeon.

Sarah talks with a Neutral accent which has hints of London, owing to her South London upbringing.  Her parents are both from Barbados and she can comfortably speak with a Bajan accent (as heard in F1: The Movie).  She attended drama school in Manchester and is confident in Northern accents (Manchester, Lancashire + Yorkshire), as well as M.L.E., General American and Trinidad & Tobago.
