Today sees the release of one of this summer's major blockbusters - F1: The Movie is out in cinemas across the UK. The film, which has been produced in collaboration with the FIA (Formula 1's governing body), stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a star of the sport in the 1990s who is forced into early retirement after a serious accident. The film follows his return to the track when he is hired by Team Apex to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua "Noah" Pearce (played by Damson Idris).
Sarah Niles has a major role playing Joshua's mother Bernadette Pearce.
Critics so far are loving the film, heaping praise on the drama and excitement:

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Productions, the film's other producers include F1 star Lewis Hamilton, who also appears in the movie. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski who directed 2022's major summer blockbuster 'Top Gun: Maverick' starring Tom Cruise.
