The sitcom charts the complicated lives of the dysfunctional Johnson family, 40-something mum Deb and her two adult daughters Billie and Josie, played respectively by real-life sisters Kat Sadler (who also wrote the series) and Lizzie Davidson.
Deb is a forty-something single mother whose two adult daughters still live with her and complicate her life. Josie, is navigating mental illness and her sexual identity. Billie, is forever in toxic relationships;
The first series won two gongs at the 2024 BAFTAs: for Scripted Comedy and Emerging Talent.
A second series ran in 2025 and saw Deb obsessing over marrying off Josie so that she can achieve her mother's greatest ambition, becoming a "kept woman". However Josie is more interested in dating women. Meanwhile Billie has started an affair with Graham, a much older, and already married, man, played by Daniel Ryan. Matilda Freeman played Graham's daughter Lucy.
