2025 production of the Olivier Award winning play at Dublin's The Gate Theatre. Written by 'The Banshees of Inisherin' writer Martin McDonagh, it is described as "a savage tale about the stories we tell to keep the monsters at bay".
Aidan McArdle starred as Detective Tupolski, who, alongside fellow detective Ariel, arrests a well known writer of short stories named Katurian (played by Fra Fee), as some of his stories resemble a recent spate of child murders. Directed by Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner.
The Pillowman won the 2004 Olivier Award for Best New Play.
