Irish drama series which first aired on RTÉ in early 2024, and premiered on U (formerly UKTV) and Sky in the UK later that year.
The 6-part series follows Dublin-based Detective Inspector Fia Lucey who is pushed out of her job in the capital and moves to a police force in the rural town of Blackwater, not far from where she grew up. The move brings back unwelcome memories of her childhood trauma when her entire family was wiped out in a murder-suicide at the hands of her father. The new role sees her investigating a missing person case: a woman named Roisin from Blackwater has disappeared in mysterious circumstances.
Aidan McArdle played Charlie Reid, a successful chef and owner of a prestigious restaurant in Blackwater and one of Rosin's closest friends, who raises the alarm when she goes missing. But as the investigation continues it becomes apparent that his concern may have a more self-interested motive.
