2018 docu-drama film about Irish art benefactor Hugh Lane who worked to establish Ireland's first public modern art gallery in the early twentieth century which would show the work of living artists. After his untimely death on the ill-fated ship Lusitania, his will was contested and still to this day means a long running dispute between his gallery in Dublin and the National Gallery in London over masterpieces from Monet, Pissarro, Renoir and Manet.
The story is told through a series of character interviews and interspersed with scripted drama.
Tom Vaughn-Lawlor played Hugh Lane with Michael Gambon starring as Lord Ardilaun.
Gemma-Leah Devereux played Ruth Shine, Hugh's sister.
