Olivier Award winning 2021 production of Nick Payne's play about Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a physicist, and their romantic relationship. When the play first premiered in 2013 it won Best Play at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. This revival at London's Vaudeville Theatre in 2021 won 7 Olivier Awards including Best Revival. Directed by Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Michael Longhurst.
The production featured 4 different casts in rotation, with each couple telling the same story: Peter Capaldi and Zoë Wanamaker; Sheila Atim and Ivanno Jeremiah; Anna Maxwell-Martin and Chris O'Dowd and in the first queer telling of the story, Omari Douglas and Russell Tovey (with Marianne and Roland reinvented as Manuel and Roland).
Omari Douglas was nominated for an Olivier and a WhatsOnStage Award for Best Actor.
