Long running and much loved BBC comedy series which first aired in 2007, introducing us to Essex boy Gavin (played by Mathew Horne) and Welsh girl Stacey (played by Joanna Page) and their extended families.
The cast also included James Corden as Gavin's best friend 'Smithy' and Ruth Jones as Stacey's best friend Nessa. Rob Bryden starred as Stacey's Uncle Bryn, with Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman playing Gavin's parents Mick and Pam.
The show initially ran for 3 series between 2007-2009 taking us through the ups and downs of their love affair, their subsequent marriage and starting a family. After much demand for more, Christmas specials followed in 2019 and 2024 - both of which achieved record audience numbers with the 2024 special taking the crown for the most watched scripted TV show of the 21st century.
Winner of 4 BAFTA Awards, 4 British Comedy Awards and a National Television Award.
