Long-running BBC One comedy series starring Charlotte Ritchie as Alison who inherits Button House, a large country house which her and her husband Mike decide to renovate and turn into a hotel. However they didn't bank upon the house being occupied by a group of squabbling ghosts from across the ages who try to thwart their plans.
Geoff McGivern has appeared in a number of episodes as Barclay Beg-Chetwynde, with Sophie Thompson playing his wife Bunny Beg-Chetwynde in series 1. Sutara Gayle also appeared in series 2 as Mike's interfering mother, Betty. Sutara also reprised her role as Betty in the final ever episode of the show, the 2023 Christmas special when she returns to Button House to help look after Alison & Mike's new baby, outstaying her welcome and leading to Mike & Alison recruiting the ghosts for 'Operation Bye Bye Betty'.
