Home I'm Darling is written by Laura Wade and was first staged in London in 2018, going on to win 'Best New Comedy' at the Olivier Awards.
The play is a 21st century satirical social comedy about Judy and Johnny, a couple who decide to live their lives as if in the 1950s, embracing jive dancing and pastel kitchenware as well as outdated gender stereotypes. Judy even quits her job to become a housewife who spends her days cleaning and cooking.
This production was shown at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds in March 2022 with Kerry Bennett starring as Johnny's new boss, the young, attractive Alex.
