Play based on the 1987 film 'House of Games' which premiered at London's Hampstead Theatre in 2025.
The play follows celebrated psychoanalyst and author Dr Margaret Ford who is drawn into a web of deceit when she follows one of her clients, Billy, to the 'House of Games', an illicit underworld poker den deep in the heart of Chicago. There she meets Mike, played by Richard Harrington, who is described by Time Out as "part Al Pacino, part De Niro". The official synopsis reveals more..."A complex game commences, in which even the players themselves don’t know the rules, their roles, or who will be left holding the trump card..."
The play is based on the hit screenplay by Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet and adapted by Richard Bean, writer of the global phenomenon 'One Man, Two Guvnors'.
