Female led Channel 4 anthology series featuring standalone stories, created by Dominic Savage, each featuring a different lead actress.
Each standalone story was developed in a creative partnership with the leading actor, with improvised dialogue and themes including relationships, mental health, and empowerment.
Series 1 ran in 2019 and consisted of 3 episodes - 'I Am Nicola' which starred Vicky McLure, 'I Am Kirsty' which starred Samantha Morton, 'I Am Hannah' which starred Gemma Chan. Vinette Robinson had a major part in 'I Am Kirsty', playing Kirsty's friend Toni.
Series 2 ran in 2021, again featuring 3 episodes - 'I Am Victoria' starring Suranne Jones, which was BAFTA nominated for Best Single Drama, 'I Am Danielle' starring Letitia Wright and 'I Am Maria' which starred Lesley Manville.
The 3rd series was only one episode 'I Am Ruth' which starred Kate Winslet, and won Best Single Drama at the 2023 BAFTAs as well as the BAFTA for Best Actress for Kate Winslet.
