Award-winning actress Vinette Robinson regularly graces our TV screens, starring in some of the biggest and most popular TV shows of recent years.

Most notably, she starred in the critically acclaimed 2021 thriller film, later a major BBC TV series, ‘Boiling Point’, playing sous-chef Carly, opposite Stephen Graham. The film, set in an upmarket London restaurant, received a string of BAFTA and BIFA nominations, with Vinette winning the BIFA for Best Supporting Actress. The TV series followed in 2023, again to critical acclaim, and saw the main cast reprising their roles from the film, but with Vinette playing the lead.  The series went on to garner further recognition, including award nominations from BAFTA, the Royal Television Society and a nomination for Vinette for Best Actress at the 2024 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.

In 2025 she performed ‘Wuthering Heights’ in the BBC series ‘The Read’ which sees leading actors give dramatised narrations of classic novels.  We will also see her in the British drama film ‘The Thing with Feathers’, starring alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2025.

In 2024 she had a major role as Louisa in the second season of Channel 4 crime drama series ‘Suspect’ which starred Anne Marie Duff and Dominic Cooper, as well as starring as pushy mother Natalie in another Channel 4 thriller series ‘The Gathering’, set in Merseyside about a group of elite teen gymnasts.  She also appeared in the 2024 series of BAFTA winning BBC dark comedy ‘Inside No. 9’.

In 2023 she was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA Best Actress Award for her leading role in the Glasgow-set ITV series ‘Six Four’, in which she starred as former undercover officer Michelle O’Neill, who, alongside her husband (played by Kevin McKidd), launches a desperate hunt for their missing daughter.

She had a leading role playing Janet in both series of Sky’s sci-fi action thriller ‘The Lazarus Project’, by BAFTA award winning writer Joe Barton, which ran from 2022-2023 and also starred Paapa Essiedu, Caroline Quentin, Anjli Mohindra and Tom Burke.  2022 saw her star in the third and final season of Sky’s police procedural comedy-drama ‘Code 404’, alongside Stephen Graham and Anna Maxwell-Martin.
