BBC period drama series set in 19th Century Oxfordshire based on Flora Thompson's autobiographical novel of the same name. Olivia Hallinan and Sarah Lancashire star respectively as young and older Laura Timmins who moves to the market town of Candleford to start her apprenticeship as a postmistress. Karl Johnson played the part of Twister Turrill, Queenie's layabout husband, in all 4 series of the show. Richard Harrington appeared in the series as Gabriel Cochrane.
