Leopoldstadt (Wyndham Theatre, 2021) - Credits

Award winning play written by the legendary Tom Stoppard and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions which opened at the Wyndham Theatre in 2020 to sold-out performances, but had its run cut short due to Covid.  The production returned in August 2021 for a 3 month run. 

The play tells the story of the prosperous Merz family, a Jewish family in Vienna, and the passage of time through the momentuous events of the 1930s and 1940s in Austria - war, revolution, annexation and the Holocaust.   In October 2020 the play won 'Best New Play' at the Olivier Awards.  Starring Adrian Scarborough, Sebastian Armesto, Jenna Augen and Rhys Bailey.

Aidan McArdle replaced Adrian Scarborough in leading role of Hermann Merz when the show re-opened after Covid in August 2021. Arty Froushan also joined the cast in 2021 playing Leo Chamberlain in the final act of the play which is set in 1955.
