Stage show prequel to Netlix's 'Stranger Things' hit TV show. Set in 1959, 24 years before the Netflix show begins, the synopsis promised it will "take you right back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to the end."
Staged at the West End's Phoenix Theatre from 2023-2024 and directed by Tony, Olivier and Emmy winning director Stephen Daldry. It is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and created by Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers.
Starred a plethora of talented young actors including Isabella Pappas who starred as Joyce Maldonado, who is one of the main characters in Stranger Things (although viewers of the TV series will know her by her married name of Joyce Bowers), played by Winona Ryder. In the stage show prequel she is desperate to graduate from Hawkins High School and get the hell out of town.
The play won Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play at the 2024 Olivier Awards and the same accolade at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
