BAFTA nominated BBC One drama series, released in 2023 which dramatised the events surrounding the infamous 1983 Brinks-Mat robbery and the events that followed. At the time it was the biggest robbery in history which saw the thieves fleeing with £26m (£111m current equivalent) worth of gold, diamonds and cash which they stole from a warehouse near Heathrow.
The 6-part series starred Hugh Bonneville as DCS Brian Boyce, the lead investigating officer and Dominic Cooper as Edwyn Cooper, a lawyer who helps the thieves to fence the gold.
The drama returned for a second series in 2025 with 6 new episodes following a depleted investigation team trying to track down the other half of the gold and bring the remaining perpetrators to justice. Stephen Campbell Moore joined the cast as real-life maverick copper Tony Lundy who is placed into the Boyce's team and whose unorthodox approach brings friction to the investigation.
