6 part BBC Two comedy series starring Tim Kay as a failing witchfinder who travels to a 17th Century village in East Anglia. Desperate to find a witch, he captures an uncouth local woman accused of killing a pig who he accuses of sorcery, played by Daisy May Cooper.

Jessica Hynes and Ricky Tomlinson also starred with Tuwaine Barrett playing series regular Cumberlidge, the loyal assistant to a rival witchfinder.
Karl Theobald appeared in Episode 5 as a fake John Stearne and Michelle Greenidge appeared as the Landlady in the first two episodes of the series alongside Sunil Patel who played the Landlord. .
