English version of the critically acclaimed Dutch play which premiered there in 2022. It is based on the novel of the same name by Nobel Prize winner Annie Ermaux. The play made its UK premiere at London's Almeida Theatre in 2024 before transferring to the West End's Harold Pinter Theatre in 2025.
The line-up boasted an incredible all female cast including Anjli Mohindra. She starred alongside Deborah Findlay, Gina McKee, Romola Garai and Harmony-Rose Bremner. The five different actresses bring one woman’s personal and political story to life, set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing post-war Europe, with each giving a snapshot of her life across the decades.
The "riveting and profound" play was a ★★★★★ sell-out, named by The Guardian as the Best Theatre Show of 2024 and nominated for Best New Play in the 2025 Olivier Awards.
