Biographical drama film about Mamie Till-Bradley who became a major civil rights activist in the 1950s after the brutal murder of her 14 year-old son Emmett by a gang of white supremacists.
The film premiered at the New York Film Festival in Autumn 2022, and had its US premiere soon after. It was released in cinemas in the UK in early 2023.
Starred Danielle Deadwyler as Mamie Till-Bradley, and Whoopi Goldberg played the part of Mamie's mother, alongside co-producing the film. Tosin Cole starred as Medgar Evers, a fellow civil rights activist.
