Tosin is an American-born, British actor who in 2024 made the prestigious 'Screen Stars of Tomorrow' list. His impressive list of credits include the 2024 Netflix drama 'Supacell' from Rapman, AMC's 61st Street and the critically acclaimed civil rights film 'Till'.  He is particularly known for his role as Ryan Sinclair in Series 11 and 12 of Doctor Who, opposite Jodie Whittaker.

2024 was a huge year for him, getting rave reviews for his leading role playing Michael Lasaki in the "gripping and addictive" 'Supacell', a major Netflix series about a group of Black South Londoners, each with their own superpower. Cole "packs a hell of a punch" said the Radio Times. The series was written and directed by pioneering rapper-turned-filmmaker Rapman who has announced there will be a second series.

2024 also saw him receive rave reviews as the "superb" (The Telegraph) Dre in the Bush Theatre's sell-out production of bittersweet rom-com 'Shifters' which later in the year transferred to the West End. ★★★★ "laugh-out-loud funny and tears-to-the-eyes moving" (The Times).

Earlier in that year he starred in the Bob Marley biopic film 'One Love', playing Tyrone Downie, lead keyboardist and pianist for the Wailers.

In 2023 he played the lead in the re-make of the classic 1990's film 'House Party'.  He played Damon, who whilst working as a house cleaner, decides to throw a huge party at one of his client's houses.   Also in 2023 he played civil rights activist Medgar Evers in the biographical drama film 'Till' about Mamie Till-Bradley who became a major civil rights activist in the 1950s after the brutal murder of her 14 year-old son Emmett by a gang of white supremacists.

Prior to that he starred in the lead role of Moses Johnson in AMC’s ‘61st Street’, a tense courtroom drama series about racial injustices in the Chicago Criminal Justice system and he also appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

2018 saw him make his debut in series 11 of Doctor Who, playing Ryan Sinclair, the companion to Jodie Whitaker's 13th Doctor, a role he played throughout series 11 and 12, leaving the show in 2021.

He will soon star in 'Girl from the North Country', which is based on the smash hit Olivier Award winning West End/Broadway musical of the same name, inspired by the songs of Bob Dylan.  He plays one of the leads, escaped convict Joe Scott who falls in love with the daughter of the owners of the guesthouse where he takes refuge.

In 2021 he starred in the screen adaptation of the highly acclaimed 2018 Royal Court stage production 'Ear for Eye' by BAFTA and Olivier Award winning writer and director Debbie Tucker Green. The film had its premiere at the 2021 BFI London Film Festival.  Tosin also starred in the original stage version in 2018 at the Royal Court.  Other stage credits include playing the male lead in "perfect bittersweet rom-com" (The Standard) 'Shifters' at the Bush Theatre in 2024 which subsequently transferred to the West End, 'They Drink It in The Congo' at the Almeida in 2016 and 'Stop the Play' at Trafalgar Studios in 2015.
