The much-anticipated new Netflix series, written and directed by Rapman, 'Supacell' is out tomorrow, Thursday 27th June.
It stars Tosin Cole as South Londoner Michael Lasaki who suddenly finds himself able to travel through time. Unfortunately this so-called gift leads him to the discovery that his fiancé Dionne (played by Adelayo Adedayo) is doomed to an untimely demise. He is thrown together with four other individuals who have nothing in common except that they are Black South Londoners, also with superpowers, who must work together to prevent an unforeseen threat and ultimately save Dionne from her fate.
Sutara Gayle also has a major role in the 8-part series, although her exact role is under wraps for now.
Early reviews have been full of admiration for the show -

"powerful, loaded and insanely dark...an intelligent, unique watch that will cure anyone's superhero fatigue" - ★★★★★ Digital Spy
"an addictively stressful show" - ★★★★ Empire
