2013-2014 Broadway production of Shakespeare's comedy of identity confusion, transferred from London. Following a shipwreck when twins Viola and Sebastian are separated, Viola pretends to be her brother to gain work. The resulting love triangle between Viola (posing as her brother), Orsino and Olivia causes chaos and hilarious confusion.
Directed by Tim Carroll the production starred an all male cast including Mark Rylance as Olivia, Stephen Fry as Malvolio, Paul Chahidi as Maria and Samuel Barnett as Viola. The production was highly praised by critics and received a number of Tony Award nominations in 2014, including a Best Actor nomination for Samuel Barnett , Best Supporting Actor nominations for Mark Rylance, Stephen Fry and Paul Chahidi and Best Director for Tim Carroll.
