2017 RSC production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night starring Adrian Edmondson as Malvolio and Kara Tointon as his love interest Olivia. Directed by Christopher Luscombe who chose a late Victorian setting for the production.
Following a shipwreck when twins Viola and Sebastian are separated, Viola pretends to be her brother to gain work. The resulting love triangle between Viola (posing as her brother), Orsino and Olivia causes chaos and hilarious confusion.
Also starred Dinita Gohil as Viola. In this production Sebastian and Viola were Indian twins marooned in 1890s England, inspired by Queen Victoria's relationship with her Indian attendant Abdul Karim.
The production was also shown in cinemas nationwide as part of RSC Live.
