T'Nia Miller played Celeste Bisme-Lyons who is married to Stephen Lyons, a financial advisor. They live with their two daughters Bethany and Ruby. The eldest daughter, Bethany, played by Lydia West, identifies as trans-human, wishing to turn herself into data. Sharon Duncan-Brewster played Fran Baxter, a storyteller and activist and friend of the family who later becomes romantically involved with Edith Lyons.
T'Nia Miller won 'Best Actress in a TV Series' at the 2021 National Film Awards for her role. The show also won three RTS Awards and was nominated for a string of other awards.
