The You Magazine list of 'Rising Stars of 2022' was published yesterday, featuring 16 of Britain's most prominent upcoming actresses including Anjli Mohindra. Anjli commented on Instagram how much she appreciated the inclusion, especially being in the company of such incredible women. See the full list here.
Anjli has starred in two of the BBC's biggest hit shows of the last few years, including 'Bodyguard' which was won a string of awards in 2019 including a BAFTA and Golden Globe. She played the role of suspected terrorist Nadia. Last year she played Surgeon Lieutenant Tiffany Docherty in 'Vigil' which was the BBC's most watched drama of 2021.
She can currently be seen in the Netflix period thriller 'Munich The Edge of War' in which she plays a British diplomatic secretary embroiled in the negotiations at the 1938 Munich conference. She also has a leading role as the mysterious Archie, in Sky's 2022 sci-fi action thriller ‘The Lazarus Project’ by BAFTA award winning writer Joe Barton, also starring Pappa Essiedu, Caroline Quentin and Tom Burke. The series is scheduled for release in April.
Anjli is also a writer is currently adapting Anita Anand’s biography of Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, the daughter of the last Maharajah of Punjab and Queen Victoria’s goddaughter who became a suffragette and a revolutionary.
