Deep Heat is a new 6-part sitcom set in the world of British pro-wrestling. Alistair Petrie stars as debonair-but-past-it former wrestling champion Clifford Baxter ‘The Gentleman Grappler’. He is part of the wrestling team 'BOSS Pro' - a team of rejects who hope to come together with the hope of qualifying for Slamageddon - depsite the odds being stacked against them. It’s a diverse, weird and wonderful group – an unlikely crowd who find companionship in (or sat beside) the ring.
The show is written and created by celebrated comedy duo Max & Ivan and directed by BAFTA-winning Matt Lipsey. Pippa Heywood and Sharon Rooney also star in the series with guest appearances from Matt Lucas and John Thomson.
The first episode will be shown on ITV2 on Monday 28th March, and all episodes will be available on ITV Hub.
