Tickets go on general sale today, 15th May, for the National Theatre's new production of 'Hamlet' which premieres on 25th September and runs until 22nd November .
The show is described as a "fearless, contemporary take on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy". Alistair Petrie will play the villainous Claudius, King of Denmark and Hamlet's uncle. The role of Hamlet will be played by Olivier Award winner Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) and it will be directed by National Theatre Deputy Artistic Director, Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Operation Mincemeat).
