Amy Beth Hayes has been nominated for an Offie for her performance in Some Demon, on now at the Arcola Theatre

Congratulations to Amy Beth Hayes for her recent Offie nomination for Best Supporting Performance in newly opened play 'Some Demon', which is on now at the Arcola Theatre.

She plays Leanne, an overworked nurse on an NHS adult eating disorders ward.  In her care are a group of women, all from different backgrounds and different ages who only have one thing in common, an illness that wants them dead. Leanne is tasked with the difficult job of keeping them alive.

The play, by Laura Waldren, won last year's Papatango New Writing Prize, selected from 1,468 entries.

"Astonishing’ ★★★★ (The Telegraph)

Powerfully affecting...as the officious Leanne, Hayes excels at capturing the deadened, patronising tone of a jobsworth, providing some welcome light relief’ ★★★★ (The Stage)

On until 6th July 2024.  Book tickets
