Brand new play 'Some Demon' opens tomorrow night at London's Arcola Theatre. The play, by Laura Waldren, won last year's Papatango New Writing Prize, selected from 1,468 entries.
It stars Amy Beth Hayes as Leanne, an overworked nurse on an NHS adult eating disorders ward. In her care are a group of women, all from different backgrounds and different ages who only have one thing in common, an illness that wants them dead. Leanne is tasked with the difficult job of keeping them alive.
Listen to Amy and the rest of the cast talking about the play.
Previous winners of The Papatango New Writing Prize have won Olivier, Critics’ Circle, Evening Standard and OffWestEnd awards and transferred to over 30 countries.
Some Demon opens tomorrow night, Friday 14th June and runs until 6th July before transferring to Bristol's Old Vic from 9th to 13th July.
