This is the 20th year of the Chortle Awards which celebrate comedy at every level, from newcomers to established acts, with a particular focus on the live comedy scene. The shortlisted acts have been chosen by a panel of journalists and bookers, but the winners will be selected by the voting public and announced on Wednesday 30th March.
Amy won a Chortle Award back in 2020 for 'Best Sketch, Character or Improv Act' as one half of comedy duo 'The Delightful Sausage' but this is the first time she has been in the running as a solo performer. As a stand up, Amy has won multiple national competitions with her unique blend of confessional stories, intelligent observations and ridiculous, off-beat daftness.
In 2021 she appeared in hit new BBC Two comedy 'Alma's Not Normal', as well as ‘Flaps’ an all-female sketch show for Comedy Central.
