Amy Gledhill will be appearing on this Saturday night's episode of The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1.
The appearance follows her announcement of a UK tour of her acclaimed stand-up show 'The Girl Before The Girl You Marry' that sees her returning to London's Soho Theatre this April. She performed the show there in January to a sold-out crowd so she is back with 4 new nights from 19th-22nd April. Her UK tour will take in cities including Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Brighton, Cambridge and her hometown of Hull.
The tour announcement also comes off the back of a coveted nomination for 'Best Stand-Up Show' at this year's National Comedy Awards.
'The Girl Before The Girl You Marry' was her first solo show at the Edinburgh Festival, which she debuted there last year. It received rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, Why Now and Funny Women. "Showers us in love and laughter" (Why Now), " a vivid and hilarious hour" (The Skinny) and "a comic of such natural ability that from the first few seconds she has the entire room entranced" (Funny Women). She received a nomination for the Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards (the ‘Oscars’ of comedy) for Best Newcomer.
The show is all about her previous relationships in which she describes herself as "a human property developer", surveying and improving men before they run off to marry someone else.
She has also just been annouced as one of the leading comedy acts at this year's Latitude Festival which takes place in Suffolk in July.
Tour tickets are on sale now. Watch The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1 at 9.40pm this Saturday, 4th March.
