Critically acclaimed ★★★★★ “masterpiece" 'The Years' makes its West End debut this Friday, 24th January. The play opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a limited 12-week run.
It features a 5-strong all-star female cast which includes Anjli Mohindra.
The play is based on the memoir of Nobel Prize winning author Annie Ernaux. It tells the story of her personal and political life, set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing post-war Europe, with a different actress giving a snapshot of her life across the decades. Anjli plays Annie as a teenager in a performance described as "masterful". Deborah Findlay, Gina McKee, Romola Garai and Harmony-Rose Bremner also star.
The play was received with huge critical acclaim during its run at the Almeida in 2024, which led to The Guardian naming it the Best Theatre Show of 2024.
